Key PPC Networks - Miva

Overview:
Miva was formed by the merging of European PPC network Espotting and US based network FindWhat. Miva no longer has many pure search engine partners, but instead delivers the majority of its traffic via a network of content driven websites.

How it works:
Miva works on the cost per click auction basis described above. Its bid system is completely transparent and all advertisers’ bids can be viewed on the Miva website. Miva also has the simplest bid process in that the bid price displayed on the site is the actual cost that the advertiser is paying. (This is not the case with Yahoo! Search Marketing).

Bidding System:
If an advertiser is not using bid management software they will often be over-spending and wasting budget on Miva. The example below shows that the 1st advertiser is paying 17p per click and the advertiser below is paying 11p. The 1st advertiser could maintain their number 1 position by only paying 12p, therefore they are over-paying by 5p per click.
